A simple observation, which has become an obsession.
One day, watching the children around me grow up, a question arose that never left me.
Our names—Ibrahim, Maryam, Souleyman, Nur, Muhammad, Isaac...—are almost all derived from prophets and sacred figures of Islam. Yet, how many of us truly know the story behind the name we carry every day?
How many know in which surah their name appears? To which generation of prophets they belong? What they represent, what they went through, what they passed on?
I searched for an object that would answer this question. Something beautiful, alive, present in everyday life. I only found dull, forgotten school family trees at the bottom of a book. Nothing that made one want to learn.
At a time when screens capture attention and books gather dust, something else had to be invented. An object that transmits without needing to be opened. An object that, simply by being there, on a wall, tells a story.
Months of work. One requirement: accuracy.
Designing this poster took several months. Not to make it pretty—to make it right.
Every prophet, every surah, every caliph appearing on the work has been verified. The content has been proofread and validated by students of Islamic sciences as well as an imam, because one does not trifle with the spiritual heritage of a community.
For the design, I worked closely with a professional, qualified graphic designer, whose job is to make complex things legible and austere things beautiful. Every detail has been considered: the hierarchy of branches, the readability of names, the choice of colors, the overall composition.
The result: a work that can be contemplated like a painting, and read like a book.

A noble material, because the content demands it.
When an object carries such a valuable message, it cannot be printed on just anything. Three non-negotiable requirements:
• 50x70 cm format — visible from a distance, elegant in any room.
• 250 gsm art paper — thick, matte, gallery quality. Glare-free, no compromises.
• Five colours — sage green, deep blue, plum violet, terracotta, monochrome. Five ambiances for five interiors.
The (optional) wooden frame is selected with an eco-responsible approach. FSC certified paper and frame, sourced from sustainably managed forests.
More than a store. A home.
La Maison du Poster was born in France, from the mind of a single person, with one fixed idea: to create wall art that brings together art, science, and remembrance within a single frame.
We don't just make decorative posters like everyone else. We create objects of transmission. Works that you give to a loved one, hang in a child's bedroom, look at in the morning with your coffee, and discuss in the evening with your parents.
Discover the work that started it all.
